About The Position

OrthoArizona is hiring Medical Assistants to support orthopedic specialists at its Surprise, Arizona location. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and supports Dr. Ayotunde. Because the physician travels between clinics, the Medical Assistant is expected to travel with the physician. The role supports compassionate musculoskeletal care in a collaborative clinical environment and includes opportunities for career development and advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of EMR experience.
• ModMed / EMA EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, take vital signs, and record patient history.
• Enter and maintain appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Prepare examination rooms by keeping them clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist with procedures in the procedure room; receive IV training and certification and start IVs.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.
• Travel between clinics with the physician.
