About The Position

Northside Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide nursing assistance and patient care in a medical office setting. The role supports patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs and assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. The Medical Assistant performs patient-care duties as delegated by a physician within a multidisciplinary care team. Specific duties are determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Requirements

• One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs.
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Perform patient-care duties as delegated by a physician within a multidisciplinary patient-care team.
