About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic or work location. The position is expected to follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.

This role is with Providence Medical Group South, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants; or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
