About The Position
The Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team, helping patients feel at ease and collaborating with providers throughout patient visits. The role requires maintaining basic life support certification and compliance with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. The Medical Assistant may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations. This is an on-site position at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
