About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistants to support its urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The Medical Assistant assists on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge, helping deliver quality care to patients. The role follows a rotating schedule: four workdays one week and three the next, including every other weekend, for seven workdays over each 14-day period. Clinic hours are listed as Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for MainStreet clinics. The posting notes that clinic hours may change. The position begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Availability for a rotating schedule, including every other weekend.
Passing pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist provider(s) in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patients’ medical histories before each visit.
Perform laboratory tests according to clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
Prepare examination rooms for appointments and ensure they are clean and ready.
Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
Position patients for X-rays according to provider directions.
Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.
