About The Position

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is hiring a full-time Chart Prep Medical Assistant at its East Norriton, Pennsylvania location. The organization provides comprehensive cardiology care and is part of Cardiovascular Logistics. The role supports patient care through chart preparation, administrative coordination, and communication with patients and providers. The position is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus, payable no later than 30 days after the start date if employment is in good standing. Employees who voluntarily leave or are terminated for cause within six months of hire must repay the full bonus amount.

Requirements

Must be a Medical Assistant.
At least 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Ability to multitask.
Computer knowledge.
Must be well-spoken, friendly, and outgoing.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with cardiology-related procedures such as stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, and Holter monitors.
Experience with an EMR system.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review patient charts and preload new patient demographic and medical information.
Perform medication reconciliation and flag discrepancies for provider review.
Assist with scheduling routine visits and cardiology testing.
Coordinate and confirm test instructions for scheduled studies.
Verify patients’ insurance benefits and submit prior authorization requests.
Answer, screen, and route calls, and assist with patient check-in and check-out.
Document and communicate messages using proper medical terminology and EMR phone-note workflows.
Route emergency calls appropriately and escalate when needed.
Maintain accurate provider contact lists, including phone numbers, fax numbers, and addresses.
Perform general administrative support duties such as filing, scanning, and supply management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
