About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join their care team. This role is crucial in delivering excellent patient care and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Due to Marathon Health's unique model, Medical Assistants manage the entire patient journey, encompassing both Medical Receptionist duties and clinical responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.

Nice To Haves

National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Escorts patients to rooms and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
Reviews patient medical information and gathers updated health information.
Takes vitals, performs blood draws, administers injections, bandages wounds, and assists with procedures.
Works with contracted labs for additional tests.
Prepares and administers approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
Partners with the care team to develop patient plans of care and address gaps in care.
Performs front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, coordinating specialist visits, referrals, check-in, and check-out.
Records accurate and pertinent data in the medical record.
Processes and provides timely test results to patients.
Participates in patient outreach to drive engagement.
Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
