About The Position

This role involves providing medical assistant duties in an outpatient clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for drawing blood, assisting with patient care, and working in a high-volume environment. The position requires floating to other Internal Medicine clinics in the area. Scheduling requests can be accommodated, but no time off will be granted within the first two weeks of employment.

Requirements

• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Recent experience/expertise with venipuncture.
• Epic experience.
• Willingness to work with Peds.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, drawing 1-5 vials of blood per patient.
• Work in a high-volume clinic environment with 15 providers and over 100 patients per day.
• Float to other Internal Medicine clinics in the area as needed.
• Provide general medical assistant duties in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Work with pediatric patients.
