About The Position

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform directed duties that assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic or work location. The position is expected to comply with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible rehires and external candidates who meet all payment conditions, in addition to Providence’s benefits and compensation package, which begins on the first day of employment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants; or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
