About The Position
A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient-centric care delivery model in an office setting. The role communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes that improve patient care. The Medical Assistant helps provide a safe patient experience, gathers patient information, documents reasons for visits, and obtains vital signs. The role also communicates with patients, peers, and members of the health care team, answers patient phone calls, and relays messages for providers or nurses. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS (CPR); must present a current American Heart Association BLS course card at employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a medical office.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
