About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports providers and nursing leadership in delivering patient care at Henry Ford Health’s Moross Road campus. The role includes administrative and clinical tasks that help provide a seamless, compassionate patient experience and maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship of at least 160 hours, or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, helping them feel informed and at ease.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
