About The Position

The Medical Assistant on the BILH Primary Care team assists in delivering high-quality, safe clinical care as part of a high-performing clinical team. The role supports patient satisfaction and provider efficiency through a collaborative approach to patient care. The Medical Assistant works with healthcare providers on daily needs and schedules to help ensure timely care. Duties include taking patients’ vital signs, documenting medical histories in the EMR system, and providing medical information to patients and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet at least one of the following: graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; hold a Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA); or have at least 5 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Achieve and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to ensure patients’ needs are met.
• Basic computer skills.
• Critical thinking and good judgment in performing tasks.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
