Requirements

At least one year of experience in a medical setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong computer and technology skills.
Clear communication, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
Current certification as a Medical Assistant
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors
Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain and document medical histories, and measure vital signs.
Perform basic laboratory testing and specimen collection, including urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID-19 swabs.
Administer medications as directed by a medical provider, within applicable scope and clinic protocols.
Greet patients, answer phone calls, verify insurance information, and assist with appointments and patient registration.
Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Support providers and colleagues to maintain efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
