About The Position

Voyage Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its Medical Support Staff team and provide patient care while supporting providers and clinical staff. The role includes assisting with patient exams, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical information, and helping ensure a positive patient experience. Other duties include preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, maintaining medical supply inventory, and supporting efficient clinic operations. Available specialties are Gynecology, Family Medicine, Podiatry, and Rheumatology. The hourly pay range is $21.50–$27.00, based on relevant experience. Eligible candidates receive a tiered $1,500 sign-on bonus paid in three installments. Travel to other clinic locations may be needed.

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Ability to perform a variety of clinical and patient care tasks.
• Reliable, motivated team player with a strong commitment to exceptional patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and commitment to an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and record vital signs, and provide support in the float station.
• Administer injections, perform EKGs, and assist providers with procedures.
• Provide patient education, communicate with patients and families, and ensure required forms and documentation are completed.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical activity in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks).
• Maintain exam room supplies and equipment, and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Follow clinic policies, procedures, and OSHA standards to promote a safe work environment.
• Travel to other clinic locations as needed to support patient care and operational needs.
• Cross-train to provide backup support to other specialties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
