About The Position

Mission Doctor’s Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support clinical and administrative tasks at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. The Medical Assistant will take vital signs, assist with procedures, update patient records, and coordinate appointments while working under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment. This per diem position supports exceptional patient care and smooth clinical operations. The role has variable hours and a day shift designation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum one year of work experience in a public contact job.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
