About The Position

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform assigned duties that assist in providing patient care. The role performs all aspects of the MA I position and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic or work location. The MA II is expected to follow established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is with Swedish Health Services DBA Swedish Medical Group, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting; or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months of medical assistant experience.
