About The Position
Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our Cardiology department at Baptist Jacksonville Sleep Center. This is a Full-Time opportunity. The ideal candidate performs computer order/entry, phlebotomy and EKG procedures, and has excellent customer service skills. This is a fast-paced center, so experience is strongly preferred. Requirements
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
