About The Position
A family practice physician in South OKC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The role supports the physician and patients by preparing for examinations, assisting with medical procedures, carrying out clinical tasks, and maintaining exam rooms.
Requirements
- Phlebotomy experience is required; must be able to draw labs.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Good phone etiquette, customer service, and time management skills are required.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a family practice clinic is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and record patient health history.
- Prepare charts and assist the physician with medical procedures and examinations.
- Administer injections and immunizations, draw labs, triage patient calls for medication refills, and provide test results.
- Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
