This position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and requires reporting to the Director of Clinical Services. The role involves regular interaction with Providers and cooperative work with staff from patient care and other departments. The job demands a full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. It requires mobility and/or sitting for extended periods, with some bending, lifting, and stooping. Normal color perception and corrected visual acuity are necessary. The role involves managing information concerning physicians, staff, hospital personnel, and patients, and may occasionally involve high-stress situations and dealing with unprofessional behavior. The Medical Assistant-Triage acts as a liaison between the physician and the patient, serves as a patient advocate, and is expected to be a flexible, cooperative, and supportive member of the office staff.
