About The Position

The Medical Assistant Scribe works under the general direction of a physician and with assistance from a clinical coordinator, if applicable. The role provides healthcare to individuals and families as instructed by the physician or advanced practice providers (APPs), performs routine clinical procedures as directed, participates in patient education, and enters appropriate documentation into patients’ health records. The position is required to report during inclement weather.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• National or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience in a practice is preferred.

Responsibilities
