Medical Assistant/Scribe - Orthopedic
About The Position
The Medical Assistant/Scribe assists providers with patient care and supports patient flow. The role helps physicians document information in the patient’s medical record, track results, and document the defined plan of care for patients of all age groups. The Medical Assistant/Scribe works collaboratively with healthcare providers to create a professional environment, provides patients with information to help them use and benefit from clinic services, and follows practice protocols and processes while managing work volume without compromising quality. The position also schedules appointments needed for follow-up care.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant School or vocational training.
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology.
- Proficient computer skills and data entry.
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and legibly in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current BLS certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in health care is preferred.
