Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative
About The Position
The Medical Assistant/Patient Representative provides healthcare services to individuals under the instruction of a Physician or APP. The role performs routine clinical procedures, participates in patient education, and enters appropriate documentation into patients’ health records. The employee performs other duties as assigned within the scope of their certification. This position is required to report during inclement weather. The position is with Methodist Medical Group, the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System. Its network includes more than 92 ambulatory clinics, an urgent care clinic, and a virtual care service called MethodistNOW.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- National or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience in a practice is preferred.
