About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant for Premier Physician Network typically sees upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center physicians and providers. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the office and help deliver a high-quality patient experience.

The role may independently perform procedures including rooming patients and collecting vital signs, pulmonary function tests, administering injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, laboratory testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, and hearing and vision tests. Attention to detail and excellent documentation are ongoing expectations. The position is listed as part-time, days, with 48 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential and graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivation to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• CPR certification within the first three months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities
