About The Position

Quadrant, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist for their Silver Spring, MD location. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties, including patient triage, preparing medical records, rooming patients, providing clinical assistance, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient accounts, and performing data entry. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role, with proficiency in phlebotomy, EMR systems (Epic preferred), insurance verification, and prior authorizations. A Medical Assistant diploma or certification is required, or a willingness to obtain one.

Requirements

• 2 plus years of experience as a Medical Assistant Medical Receptionist
• Must have experience with Phlebotomy
• Must have experience work on EMR; knowledge of Epic highly preferred
• Must have strong experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations
• Medical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

• Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
• Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
• Perform data entry and processing
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain medical records
