Medical Assistant / LPN - Eagle Run Immediate Care Clinic (Hybrid Schedule)
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Immediate Care Clinic at its Eagle Run location. The role provides quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment, supports daily clinic operations, and performs tasks within the applicable scope of practice. Medical Assistants provide care under the direction of licensed practitioners, assist physicians and support staff, promote efficient clinic operations, and deliver professional, engaging customer service to patients and others. LPNs provide nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the LPN scope of practice to help achieve the patient’s plan of care, in conjunction with the registered nurse and/or medical staff. This is a full-time position with 40 scheduled hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nebraska Medicine describes itself as a leading academic health network that partners with UNMC in education, research, and patient care, and emphasizes diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and educational support. Requirements
- Medical Assistant: High school education or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant: Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- Medical Assistant: Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Medical Assistant: Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; certification must be from an American Heart Association-endorsed program for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
- Medical Assistant: If required to administer medications, have a current Medication Aid Registry listing or complete it within the first 30 days of hire or transfer and maintain it thereafter.
- LPN: Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- LPN: Demonstrate effective communication skills, initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
- LPN: Hold a current Nebraska practical nurse license or a current compact-state license.
- LPN: Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association-endorsed program for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.

- Medical Assistant: Ability to work bilingually in English and Spanish for certain clinics.
