About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports patient care in an immediate care setting at Ascension Medical Group in Wichita, Kansas. The role helps guide the patient experience by interviewing patients and recording vital signs, prepares treatment rooms, assists physicians and nurses with treatments, documents patient care and maintains essential records, and manages medical supplies and administrative tasks to support clinic flow. The position is part-time and scheduled for day shift.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.
• Applicable professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and capture vital signs to provide the clinical team with information for diagnosis.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patients.
• Assist physicians and nurses with treatments.
• Document patient journeys and manage essential records accurately and confidentially.
• Manage medical supplies and administrative tasks to support clinic flow.
