About The Position
This role assists in providing direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections; perform skin tests; administer oral medication; and perform venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma.
- At least one year of experience.
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location.
