Medical Assistant, Certified
About The Position
Bookmark Medical is hiring a certified Medical Assistant to support providers and care teams in delivering continuous, high-quality, patient-focused care. The role combines direct patient care with clinical and administrative support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant welcomes and rooms patients, assists providers during exams, performs point-of-care testing and administers vaccines under supervision, and helps ensure accurate documentation and clear communication. The role also supports patient education and follow-ups, scheduling, calls, referrals, and prior authorizations, while maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following safety guidelines. Certification is required or must be obtained; Bookmark Medical will reimburse certification costs.
Requirements
- Accredited Medical Assistant training or equivalent experience.
- Medical Assistant certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Take vital signs, update medical histories, and support providers during examinations.
- Perform point-of-care testing and administer vaccines under supervision.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
- Support patient education, follow-ups, and clear communication.
- Help manage calls, referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling.
- Maintain clean, stocked examination rooms and follow safety guidelines.
