Medical Assistant Certified
About The Position
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. The MA-C is a key member of the care team and assists with patient intake, clinical quality measures, documentation, referrals, and procedures to support efficient patient flow and excellent care. The role is in a fast-paced outpatient setting and may require travel to other clinic locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday and may be adjusted based on need. Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
- Current MA-C license, or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days.
- BLS/CPR required, or obtained within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- Ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain histories and vital signs.
- Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
- Administer medications and immunizations according to protocol.
- Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
- Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
