About The Position

This is a TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY for an Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in Edmonds, WA. The schedule is 5x8hr shifts from 0830-1700, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. The position requires 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting. The facility is an Infectious Disease Clinic and uses EPIC for charting. Parking is TBD. This role is open to local and non-local candidates.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is REQUIRED
• 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting
• BLS certification
• MA-C license
• EPIC charting experience REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Obtain Vital Signs (Height/Weight, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Obtain Vital Signs, Pulse Oximetry, Vision testing)
• Prepare for Exam (Positioning/Draping, Record History/Medications/Allergies)
• Set up & Assist with Procedures (Dressing Change, Pap Smear, Set up aseptic / sterile procedure trays)
• Administer Injections (Immunizations, Intradermal, Intramuscular)
• Perform Specimen Collection (Labeling of specimens, Sputum, Stool, Throat, Urine - UA/Clean Catch, Vaginal, Wound)
• Perform Laboratory Tests (Strep, Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis)
• Handle Office Duties (Authorization Forms, Chart Preparation, Insurance Verification, Ordering supplies, Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, Scheduling appointments, Stocking Supplies, Telephone Triage)
• Administer Medication
• Administer TB Test
• Utilize Aseptic Technique
• Perform Follow up phone calls
• Review Lab Tests
• Room Patients
• Perform Suture Removal
• Perform Wound care
