About The Position
This is a temporary to hire opportunity for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in a Cardiology outpatient clinic setting. The position requires the MA-C to have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions. The role may involve floating to other clinic locations as needed for staffing coverage. Conversion to a permanent role is expected if all goes well at the end of the contract.
Requirements
- Must be a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C).
- Cannot be a Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT).
- 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
- Experience in a cardiology setting is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation (not public transportation).
- No additional scheduling restrictions.
- Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
- Obtain Vital Signs
- Obtain Pulse Oximetry
- Positioning/Draping patients
- Record patient history, medications, and allergies
- Administer immunizations
- Perform blood glucose tests via glucometer
- Prepare patient charts
- Stock clinic supplies
- Perform telephone triage
- Administer medication
- Make follow-up phone calls
- Room patients
- Float to other clinic locations (Ravenna or Canyon Park) as needed for staffing coverage.
