About The Position

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for a Medical Assistant in a specialty clinic focused on stroke and cognitive patients. The role requires a Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) or Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R), with the MA-R needing provider endorsement. The shifts will alternate between 07:30-16:00 and 08:00-16:30, and the MA must agree to this schedule. The clinic operates with one Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at all times and a physician a few times per month. The Medical Assistant will be the sole MA in the clinic on some days, requiring strong organizational skills, prioritization, and the ability to work independently. The role involves assisting patients with physical handicaps and requires the MA to have no physical limitations preventing them from a fast-paced environment. The position is a 13-week contract with the expectation of transitioning to a full-time role with the facility upon successful completion of the contract.

Requirements

• MA-C or MA-R (MA-R must be endorsed by a provider)
• 2 years of experience
• BLS certification
• Experienced working with disabled adults
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology
• Experience with Epic
• Experience in Adult Outpatient Clinics
• Must be available for alternating shifts (07:30-16:00 and 08:00-16:30)
• No physical limitations preventing work in a fast-paced environment or assisting patients with physical handicaps
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must confirm openness to a temp-to-perm opportunity
