Join the Urgent Care team as a part-time Washington State credentialed Medical Assistant-Certified Float! In this role, you will room patients, take manual vitals, operate an automated BP machine, and collect data for the EMR. You will also manage the MA in-basket for prescription requests, perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile set-up, injections, immunizations, point-of-care testing, swabbing, and phlebotomy. Additionally, you will handle phone calls to various departments, patients, and peers, utilizing critical thinking to find resources and follow protocols. The position requires the ability to work independently and as a team member, wear a mask all day and an N95 when protocol directs, and possess strong time management and delegation skills to prioritize workflow. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions, including vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender-affirming treatment. The ability to work with a diverse patient population is an essential function of all positions.
