About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Gravette Clinic Behavioral Health Unit. The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general care needs. They meet the communication needs of patients and families, demonstrating initiative and responsibility. This role operates under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, physician, and clinic manager, while maintaining regulatory requirements and adhering to nursing and office policies and procedures. The MA communicates patient clinical status, including diagnostic results and symptoms, to physicians and team members.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.

Responsibilities
