About The Position

This is a dynamic administrative role with a strong focus on data entry, operational support, and assisting wherever business needs arise. While the position includes handling inbound patient and provider calls, the role is not solely call-center based. You will balance phone responsibilities with administrative tasks, data management, and floating between various operational needs and departments. We're looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Previous administrative and customer service experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.
  • Ability to comfortably balance phone responsibilities with administrative and data entry tasks.
  • Strong proficiency working across multiple software platforms and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and retain complex medical and laboratory information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Professional, empathetic, and positive approach to patient and provider support.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and productive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Flexibility to float between administrative and operational responsibilities as business needs change.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Biomedical Science or a related field preferred.
  • Experience handling inbound calls or working in a call center is a strong plus.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory, healthcare, medical office, or related environment is highly preferred.
  • Data entry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, review, and maintain patient, provider, laboratory, and operational information across multiple systems.
  • Assist with a high volume of incoming patient and provider calls, providing professional support and accurately documenting inquiries and outcomes.
  • Efficiently manage phone responsibilities while completing data entry and other administrative tasks throughout the day.
  • Assist with laboratory-related questions, order status updates, specimen requirements, and general account inquiries.
  • Use various software platforms, databases, and internal resources simultaneously to research information and complete administrative tasks.
  • Accurately record calls, inquiries, resolutions, and other important information in company systems.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across departments based on daily business needs and priorities.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  • Recognize complex or sensitive issues and appropriately escalate them to management or the appropriate department.
  • Maintain patient and company confidentiality while following HIPAA requirements, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with additional administrative and operational responsibilities as assigned.
