About The Position

Hospital Referral Services (HRS) is seeking self-motivated professionals for an Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative role in the Cleveland area. HRS assists uninsured or underinsured patients in hospitals by screening them at their bedside to determine eligibility for assistance programs like Medicaid and charity care. The team guides patients through the Medicaid process, allowing them to focus on recovery. HRS has been voted a Top Workplace for 5 consecutive years.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience preferred.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to multitask.
Must have reliable transportation.
Good attendance and dependability are essential.
Successful completion of drug and background test required.
Annual Flu shots and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

Reviewing the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients.
Screening/Interviewing patients bedside in a hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for any assistance programs available including Medicaid and charity.
Completing applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
Maintaining a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff and patients.
Abiding by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patients’ privacy.
Meeting production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
Maintaining confidentiality of account information at all times.
