About The Position

Hospital Referral Services (HRS) is seeking a self-motivated Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative to join their growing team at Ohio Health Doctor's Hospital. HRS specializes in helping uninsured or underinsured patients navigate assistance programs, including Medicaid, to ease their financial burden during hospital stays. Requirements

Previous customer service experience preferred.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to multitask and type a minimum of 40 WPM.
Must have reliable transportation.
Good attendance and dependability are essential.
Successful completion of drug and background test is required.
Annual Flu shots and TB testing is required.
Must have availability to work some holidays.

Responsibilities

Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients admitted to the Emergency Room.
Screen and interview patients bedside in a hospital setting to determine eligibility for assistance programs, including Medicaid and charities.
Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients.
Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
Meet production goals and objectives assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.
