About The Position

We’re looking for a strong media strategist to develop and execute brand-level media strategies across key clients. This role is grounded in media fundamentals – audience strategy, channel planning, investment, and measurement – with ownership over go-to-market (GTM) and communications planning. You will define how strategies come to life in market, connecting audience insight, media, and messaging into a cohesive approach. Beyond traditional planning, this role extends into custom, partnership-led, and emerging media – identifying new ways for brands to show up with credibility and relevance. You’ll work closely with creative teams to ensure media is integrated into ideas from the start, not applied after the fact, and will manage and mentor a team of senior media strategists.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years in media planning/strategy with strong cross-channel and brand media experience
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members
  • Proven ability to build media strategies grounded in audience insight and business objectives
  • Experience with GTM and communications planning – not just channel planning
  • Comfortable working closely with creative teams and contributing to idea development
  • Interest in custom media, partnerships, and emerging platforms
  • Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Clear, structured thinker and communicator with a point of view

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-funnel media strategies, including audience definition, channel roles, budget allocation, and flighting
  • Build audience personas and translate behavioral and cultural insights into strategic direction
  • Own GTM and communications planning – defining sequencing, moments, and how the work shows up in market
  • Partner closely with creative teams to shape ideas and translate them into actionable media approaches
  • Identify and develop custom and partnership-led opportunities (e.g., platforms like Substack, Billboard, and podcasts)
  • Lead RFP inputs and evaluate partners based on both strategic idea and media value
  • Manage and mentor senior media strategists, setting a high bar for strategic thinking and execution
  • Own execution of workstreams end-to-end with a high bar for quality, clarity, and detail
  • Define measurement approaches and apply learnings to optimize future work
