About The Position

Duel is a SaaS company focused on making Brand Advocacy the industry standard for building retail brands. Founded by Paul Archer, Duel aims to demonstrate that companies built for advocacy can change the world. In an era dominated by user-generated social media content, Duel believes successful brands invest in people and community over traditional ads. The Duel Brand Advocacy Solution empowers enterprise brands to foster these connections. With over 60 influential clients like Abercrombie & Fitch, Charlotte Tilbury, and Victoria’s Secret, Duel has offices in New York City and London. The team comprises 60+ professionals including psychologists, brand experts, and community builders, blending brand expertise with SaaS experience. Recently, Duel secured $16 million in Series A funding, backed by top VCs, to fuel US growth from its New York base and advance its AI-driven product vision, enabling brands to leverage advocates, customers, creators, and ambassadors for growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in enterprise account leadership, client services, or strategic account management.
  • Background in a digital, advertising, or brand or influencer marketing agency; brand-side marketing leadership; or an enterprise MarTech platform with a services motion.
  • Experience working directly with marketing teams at major brands (retail, D2C, beauty, CPG, or adjacent categories)
  • A track record of owning revenue-bearing accounts: renewals, expansions, and measurable outcome delivery.
  • Comfort navigating complex organisations with multiple stakeholders, from day-to-day operators to C-suite executives.
  • Strong business and marketing acumen, you understand how advocacy fits into the broader marketing mix and can connect activity to brand equity, growth, and performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Tech exposure is a plus, but the priority is relationship depth, strategic thinking, and services execution. Platform nuance can be learned.

Responsibilities

  • Be the single, primary point of contact for each enterprise client; from late-stage pre-sale conversations through onboarding, value realisation, renewal, and expansion.
  • Build and execute strategic account plans with clear success measures, stakeholder maps, programme roadmaps, and health metrics.
  • Develop multi-year partnership strategies so that renewals are expected and natural, not last-minute fire drills.
  • Issue the agenda, bookend every call, and remain the client’s constant strategic touchpoint.
  • Own renewal readiness: proactive risk detection, mitigation plans, and executive confidence-building.
  • Identify and develop expansion opportunities; new regions, brands, use cases, and service layers.
  • Be accountable for retention, expansion pipeline, gross advocacy value, and overall account health.
  • Translate Duel’s solution into business impact: advocate activation, content and influence, community building, and measurable performance.
  • Drive strategic moments: quarterly planning, QBRs, campaign design, and executive storytelling.
  • Help marketing stakeholders navigate ambiguity and mature their advocacy operating model.
  • Coordinate Programme Ops, Product, Data/Insights, and Advocacy specialists to deliver against the plan.
  • Own the escalation path: unblock issues quickly, set expectations clearly, and protect client trust.
