About The Position

Gray Media, also known as Gray Television, Inc., is a multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets, serving 113 television markets and reaching approximately 36 percent of US television households. The company's portfolio includes 77 markets with the top-rated television station and 100 markets with the first and/or second-highest-rated television station, as well as the largest Telemundo Affiliate group. Gray also owns Gray Digital Media, a full-service digital agency, and additional media properties like video production companies and studio production facilities. WSMV 4 is Nashville's NBC affiliate and Middle Tennessee's first television station, owned by Gray Television, broadcasting 53 hours of live, local news each week. WSMV is seeking a highly motivated, competitive, and results-driven Media Executive to develop new business and build lasting client partnerships. This role is for someone energized by building new relationships, who loves helping businesses grow, and desires a career where effort directly impacts income and success. The Media Executive will work with executives and business owners to create and deliver powerful, multi-platform marketing strategies across WSMV-TV, Gray Digital Media, and Telemundo Tennessee, developing, presenting, and executing customized solutions to help clients reach the right audience and achieve measurable results.

Requirements

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, while managing daily deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and competitive, yet collaborative, able to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team culture
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both clients and internal partners
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred)
  • Two years of sales experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, grow, and strengthen client relationships, serving as a trusted marketing advisor
  • Prospect for new business and uncover opportunities with executives and business owners
  • Explore and present multi-screen marketing solutions across WSMV broadcast and Gray Digital Media's extensive digital marketing portfolio
  • Maintain excellent communication, persuasion, and presentation skills with decision-makers
  • Provide clear updates on negotiations, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts to Station Leadership
  • Monitor campaign performance and share results using key digital metrics
  • Adapt quickly to new technology and evolving products within our marketing portfolio
