About The Position

KCTV5 and Gray Digital Media KC in Kansas City are seeking a motivated, success-oriented salesperson to sell television and digital advertising and marketing solutions. The Media Executive will develop new business, maintain and grow accounts, build client relationships, and maximize revenue. The role includes designing and presenting advertising proposals using products such as programmatic advertising, streaming, email, social media, SEM, and SEO, as well as selling sponsorship opportunities and lifestyle segments on the daily show My KC Live.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of digital media sales preferred, or a proven sales track record.
• Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
• Ability to prospect and network with business decision-makers in organizations of all sizes.
• Proven experience building professional client relationships.
• Superior multitasking skills and ability to work cross-functionally and handle multiple daily tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company policies; the record will be verified as a condition of employment and checked regularly.

Responsibilities

• Consult with business owners and marketing and advertising leaders to develop and implement digital marketing strategies.
• Meet or exceed sales expectations by winning new clients and maintaining and growing accounts.
• Learn and apply Gray Digital Media advertising products, services, and guidelines as offerings evolve.
• Develop, retain, and grow client relationships.
• Create and present television and digital advertising and marketing proposals.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively and respectfully with internal teams, corporate Gray Digital Media teams, and clients.
• Sell sponsorship opportunities and lifestyle segments on My KC Live.
