Media Buyer

About The Position

The Scale Space is a marketing agency that runs full-funnel growth for clients through paid advertising, automation, and strategy. This fully remote role owns paid media for a client book end to end, including campaign execution, ad copy, tracking, reporting, and client-facing performance discussions. The Media Buyer will manage roughly 8 to 10 brands across med spa, hospitality, real estate, and home services. Meta is the primary platform, Google Ads is growing, and some accounts use additional channels. The role works alongside the CEO, Customer Success Manager, creative lead, and designers, and requires translating performance data into clear recommendations tied to client revenue. The position is full-time, permanently remote, and requires a sole full-time commitment. The schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, eight hours per day with breaks, following PST/PDT. Compensation is a base salary of $5,000–$6,000 per month, based on experience, with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses that are not guaranteed and are tied to account results.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years managing multiple ad accounts simultaneously; agency-side experience is preferred, and experience running only one in-house brand is not considered equivalent.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, including Search and Performance Max.
  • Have personally set up pixels and CAPI and independently debugged tracking problems.
  • Ability to write ad copy and provide examples of ads that performed well.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, structuring messy data, and finding insights in performance data.
  • Ability to access a CRM, find lead and revenue data, and connect it to advertising performance.
  • Ability to discuss performance directly with business owners without relying on jargon.
  • Daily use of AI tools to work efficiently, with the judgment to distinguish responsible AI use from passing raw AI output off as a recommendation.
  • Commitment to this role as the sole full-time commitment.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency-side media buying experience.
  • Experience with Looker Studio, Supermetrics, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with GoHighLevel/Scale CRM or HubSpot; strong experience with one CRM is sufficient to learn the company’s systems.
  • Strong Meta Ads experience paired with solid Google Ads knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Build, launch, and manage campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • Own audiences, offers, creative testing, budget pacing, learning phases, ad fatigue, and wasted spend.
  • Decide what to scale, stop, or test next, including making budget changes independently.
  • Monitor new campaign launches closely during their first 72 hours.
  • Write ad copy, hooks, and angles, and evaluate copy tests using performance data.
  • Share performance insights with the creative team, including which hooks and formats are working or fatiguing and what future creative should test.
  • Set up and maintain pixels, Conversions API (CAPI), conversion events, and UTM structures across accounts.
  • Debug attribution discrepancies between ad platforms and client CRMs.
  • Connect ad platforms to client CRMs, including GoHighLevel/Scale CRM and HubSpot, to connect spend with booked revenue.
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports using ad platform and CRM data, with a recommendation attached to every report.
  • Apply the 1-3-1 approach to recommendations: one problem, three possible solutions, and one recommendation.
  • Participate in client calls and explain performance, changes, and planned actions in plain language.
  • Address client requests candidly when the data indicates they may harm results.
  • Check campaign setups and report accuracy, identify and fix problems before clients encounter them, and communicate what was fixed.
  • Document account and reporting processes.
  • Audit ad accounts and tracking, identify opportunities and performance leaks, and take over reporting.
  • Optimize accounts independently, write ad copy, and own paid media, copy, tracking, and reporting across the client book.
  • Track and improve cost per acquisition, qualified lead rate, return on ad spend, reporting timeliness, tracking accuracy, and client retention.

Benefits

  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses tied to account results; bonuses are not guaranteed.
  • Permanently remote work from home.
