Media Buyer

About The Position

The Scale Space is a fully remote marketing agency based in North Hollywood, California. It runs full-funnel growth for clients through paid advertising, automation, and strategy, focusing on revenue rather than traffic or other vanity metrics. The Media Buyer owns paid media for a portfolio of approximately 8 to 10 clients across med spa, hospitality, real estate, and home services. The role covers end-to-end campaign execution, ad copy, tracking and attribution, performance reporting, optimization, and client communication. Meta Ads is the primary platform, Google Ads is growing, and some accounts use additional platforms. The Media Buyer joins client meetings with the CEO and Customer Success Manager and answers technical and performance questions directly. This is a full-time, fully remote role with a sole full-time commitment. The schedule is eight hours per day with breaks, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST/PDT. Base salary is $1,200–$2,000, based on experience, with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses that are not guaranteed.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience managing multiple advertising accounts at the same time; agency experience is preferred, and experience running only one in-house brand is not considered equivalent.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, including Search and Performance Max.
  • Experience personally setting up pixels and CAPI and debugging tracking problems.
  • Ability to write ad copy and provide examples of ads that performed well.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, structuring messy data, and finding insights in performance numbers.
  • Ability to access CRM data and connect lead and revenue data to advertising activity.
  • Ability to discuss performance with business owners in clear, jargon-free language.
  • Daily use of AI tools to work efficiently, with the judgment to distinguish useful AI assistance from passing raw AI output off as a recommendation.
  • Sole full-time commitment.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency-side experience managing advertising accounts.
  • Experience with Looker Studio, Supermetrics, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with GoHighLevel and HubSpot; strong knowledge of one CRM is also useful.

Responsibilities

  • Build, launch, and manage campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • Manage audiences, offers, creative testing, budget pacing, learning phases, ad fatigue, and wasted spend.
  • Decide what to scale, stop, or test next, including making budget changes independently.
  • Closely monitor new campaign launches during their first 72 hours.
  • Write ad copy, hooks, and angles, and test copy based on performance data.
  • Share performance insights with the creative team, including which hooks and formats are working or fatiguing and what future creative should test.
  • Set up and maintain pixels, CAPI, conversion events, and UTM structures across accounts.
  • Debug attribution discrepancies between advertising platforms and CRM data.
  • Connect advertising platforms to client CRMs, including GoHighLevel/Scale CRM and HubSpot, so ad spend can be tied to booked revenue.
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports across assigned accounts using advertising platform and CRM data.
  • Attach a clear recommendation to every report, using the 1-3-1 approach: one problem, three possible solutions, and one recommendation.
  • Join client calls and explain performance, changes, and planned actions in plain language.
  • Hold a position when performance data supports it and clearly explain when a client request may harm results.
  • Check campaign setup and report accuracy, identify and fix problems before clients encounter them, and communicate what was fixed.
  • Document account and reporting processes.
  • Audit accounts and tracking, identify opportunities and performance leaks, and take over reporting.
  • Optimize accounts independently, speak to performance on client calls, and demonstrate the impact of changes on client results.

Benefits

  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses tied to account results; bonuses are not guaranteed.
  • Fully remote work from home on a permanent basis.
