About The Position

The Med Tech at Abbotswood at Irving Park is responsible for medication administration and delivering quality care by encouraging resident independence and supporting each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. The role is part time, with 1st- or 2nd-shift work and every-other-weekend scheduling. Pay is $18.50–$19 per hour. The position includes assisting residents with requests and daily activities, providing companionship, responding to emergencies, documenting care, and helping keep individual service plans and care checklists current. Requirements

Completion of a nursing assistant course.
Meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
CNA certification if required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations.
Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
Document care provided to residents.
Provide input to help keep resident individual service plans current.
Regularly review the 24-hour report and care checklists.
Administer medications and encourage resident independence and well-being.
