About The Position

We are currently seeking a Med Tech (Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our outstanding healthcare team! We are searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant with their Certified Medication Aide endorsement to join our team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Medication Aide effectively and efficiently will administer medications and treatments. He/she will function within the standards of practice per state regulations. We are passionate about providing high-quality care and fostering a compassionate, family-oriented environment. Requirements

Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide program
Current CMA certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
Nursing Assistant experience providing direct care to multiple residents
Behavioral care / memory care experience

Responsibilities

Receive report at the beginning of shift with nurses
Report observations of concerns of patient condition, emergency situations or difficulties with medications to the supervising nurse
Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed by the physician
Document administration of medications per policies
Maintain medication supplies, clean and restock medication carts and med room as needed
Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills
Performs accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy
Uses Point Click Care according to the Business Process, if applicable
Attends re-certification courses per state requirements and renews CMA license timely
Performs Certified Nursing Assistant duties as needed and as defined in the Certified Nursing Assistant job description
Performs other duties as requested
