Requirements
- Complete required training or certification, as required by state regulations, for medication aide/tech duties.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider, subject to state regulations and required training or certification.
- Observe and report residents’ responses to medication and treatments to a supervisor.
- Keep the medication supply room organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits.
- Provide accurate counts of medications.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
- Complete required training or certification in accordance with state regulations.
