About The Position

This is a Full-Time Permanent Day position for a Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse within the Eastern Market Regional Resource Pool. This role requires travel to Sentara hospitals including Sentara Leigh Hospital (Norfolk, VA) and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (Norfolk, VA). The position offers a 6-week assignment structure, premium pay, and a resource pool differential. The Eastern Market Regional Resource Pool also provides opportunities in ICU/Critical Care, Emergency Department (ED), IMCU/Stepdown, and Medical/Surgical settings. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you will have opportunities for career growth, leadership advancement, and skill development in various specialties. The primary duties include patient assessment and admission, rounding checks, medication administration, family communication, and overall patient care responsibility. The role emphasizes teamwork within a family-friendly culture that encourages community involvement and offers development and growth opportunities. Sentara Healthcare is a progressive and integrated healthcare organization serving Southeast Virginia and Northern North Carolina, with additional sites in other parts of Virginia. They operate over 100 caregiving sites, including 12 acute care hospitals, outpatient facilities, nursing centers, assisted living centers, and physician groups. Sentara also provides health coverage plans, home health, hospice, physical therapy, rehabilitation services, and an air ambulance service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Intermediate/Stepdown
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Travel to Sentara hospitals including Sentara Leigh Hospital (Norfolk, VA) & Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (Norfolk, VA)
