About The Position

As a Medication Aide/Med Tech at Sunrise Senior Living, you help ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role is critical to preventing medication errors, identifying health changes early, and protecting resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document accurately and in real time in the MAR/TAR.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer ordered medications for symptom relief.
• Promptly report medication refusals or concerns.
• Complete narcotic counts according to policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
