Med Aide
About The Position
The Med Aide administers medications to residents and assists with other aspects of their daily care and routine. The role includes properly storing medications and equipment, keeping the medication room clean and orderly, and accurately maintaining resident records regarding medication distribution. The Med Aide ensures prescription labels and storage procedures meet state standards, monitors residents’ health, safety, and well-being, and promptly reports changes in residents’ physical condition or behavior to the Wellness Director. The position also assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A flexible, fun, energetic people person capable of projecting calm, care, and professionalism in work-related situations.
- A love for working with seniors.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a health care environment or equivalent is preferred.
