GovCIO is currently hiring for a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide extensive MECM expertise in the operations of the technology on the Air Force's TS/SCI network. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite only position. Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Coordinates the planning, design, installation, and sustainment of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and Tanium, using knowledge of engineering and complex enterprise designs. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Designs, creates, and builds MECM solutions. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements Specifically, this position will: Serve as subject matter expert for Configuration and use Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and Tanium Patch module to patch servers and workstations across the AFSCI Enterprise Develop and implement plans for optimal use of MECM technology Submit formal security patch implementation requests IAW CCMP Identify resources that cannot be patched from a central location Ensure security patches are tested before distribution Identify vulnerabilities and work with Information Assurance personnel on reporting and mitigation strategies Provide a prioritization scheme for systems/applications Perform Patch analysis and proactively work with users, third party vendors, AFSCI partners to ensure optimum system up-time Provide over-the-shoulder mentoring on MEMC and Tanium Patch module Develop Standard Operating Procedures
